ABOUT

Reach full potential

Eremeran Hills is a Study Centre for girls and young women that works alongside parents to help their children achieve their full potential. The Study Centre is run mainly by parents and volunteers who are passionate about youth. The activities are designed to foster the holistic development of each girl through her work, her spirit of service and her relationship with God. The main activities run at Eremeran are the girls clubs and camps, supervised study and volunteering. Each girl is given a mentor who helps her to set and reach her personal goals.

WELCOME TO EREMERAN

"An environment where they can be with friends, but they can also get really good inputs to deepen their faith."

About

Eremeran is a project of Association for Educational Projects Limited (AEPL) a non for profit organisation which aims to promote the education of young women. AEPL is committed to providing a safe, supportive and caring environment in all their Centres, to enable girls to develop their full potential as individuals. Eremeran is an aboriginal word for rock, which represents a firm foundation for young women to flourish as leaders in society.

THE HISTORY

How it started

In 1976, a group of parents thought of creating a club for their daughters which would complement their home and school environment. In 1998, the club moved to the Hills District and is now firmly established in Pennant Hills where hundreds of girls benefit from regular attendance.

We look forward to the purpose built premises in the near future. To find out how you can support us click here.

OPUS DEI

Spirituality

The spiritual formation given to the girls at Eremeran is entrusted to Opus Dei, a personal Prelature of the Catholic Church, which helps people find holiness in everyday life.

Opus Dei is a Catholic institution founded by Saint Josemaria Escriva. Its mission is to help people turn their work and daily activities into occasions for growing closer to God, for serving others, and for improving society. It promotes an awareness of the universal call to holiness the radical idea that every person is called by God to be a saint.

Opus Dei complements the work of local churches by offering classes, talks, retreats and pastoral care that help people develop their personal spiritual life and apostolate. For more information on Opus Dei visit www.opusdei.org.au.

THE HISTORY

Parents

Eremeran seeks to support parents in encouraging the positive development of their daughters. The activities are thoughtfully designed to help the girls grow in virtue and self-knowledge. Through the mentoring system, we help the girls achieve their goals.

The mentors are available to meet with parents to talk about their goals and future aspirations. We also have regular gatherings with the parents from each club to transmit the formation plan and to learn from their ideas. We hold several family events to create opportunities for both the girls and the parents to build and develop friendships.

Many parents help to coordinate and run the clubs at Eremeran. If you would like to get involved please contact the Parent Liaison.
